Over run with packets and parcels in our office. Failing daily. Now 4" of snow. No chance of clearing before Christmas. Whats it like in yours?

The packets have gone through the roof in our D/O managed today to clear all my packets for once but many walks have left 5-7 bags.

Day off 2moz so i will go back in to 3-4 bags guranteed.

Except today we were taken off the ip sorting at 0845,leaving 6 yorks of letters.I swear it's a fecking madhouse in there.

same at our d/o packets everwhere no one to del. them not enough staff or vans. ifeefl sorry for the customers who ordered them for xmas presents. we are working o/t just to del. spec.&mail 4-5pm. worst xmas for working in my 18yrs. ifeel like just given up!!. so tired like the rest of you, will be glad to be of for xmas.

Our office had no mail on Friday, due to the weather.Since then, Saturday we delivered Fridays mail, Monday we delivered Saturdays mail. Today we had about 20+ yorks of letters and packets left untouched. There is no way that we can possibly clear by Thursday. We done RM, your cuts have resulted in the worst Christmas service ever. Obviously the Daily Mail will see things slightly differently.

Explained to my DOM yesterday how disgusted i was in R/M this christmas offering a pityful 2hrs SA on the saturdays and just normal O/T through the week.

I informed him that if R/M were to have paid all O/T on SA rate and given us 4 hrs SA for the saturdays we would more than probably have cleared the office on a daily basis. The laughable part about was he said ok come next year we will sit down in November and thrash out a deal. 3 times this year i asked the DSM to sit down with me and thrash out a deal worthy to the lads on the shop,and on each occasion he told me R/M were offering nothink than at the eleventh hr they offered this pityful amount which 95% of our office rejected and do not clear.

Now come next year why should i sit down and thrash out a deal as it will come to nothink as the DSM will ko the deal.

Its disgusting R/M are a disgrace they are making us look like fools ,amatuers that havnt a clue what were doing, when in reality its only us the BLUE shirts that do know what we are doing.

If they would have taken up my offer the customers would have had a first class service,this is about paying people at a time when you are needed the most its not as if xmas comes around every day a couple of weeks of the year and still they penny pinch. The only people effected by R/M penny pinching are the customers.

This is the worst xmas ive experinced in R/M the resources just havnt been put in place from extra vans,extra drivers,and extra walkmen ( xmas casuals) SHAME ON YOU ROYAL MAIL.
