Review what review?
When the union caved in they promised us a fortnightly review to keep us updated. I for one have heard nothing apart from some generic bull**** the rep was sent the other day saying 'the talks are going well'. Does anyone know what is really happening? I just read in the paper we'll be back out in Janurary once our Xmas truce is over! FFS CWU COMMUNICATE with your members properly for once

Ignore the papers, full of bullshit.
There are vested interests who want the talks to fail and want people to belive no progress is being made in talks, as they wish to hammer our union. The talks I predict will not fail, however that does not mean that the membership will vote yes to the agreement that comes out of the talks.
The next review is Tuesday as they are now weekly. Roger Poole is hoping there will be substantial progress.

Re: Review what review?
I agree with Piranha. What happened at last weeks review. All I can see is a few words from the independant scrutineer saying talks are going well. Why oh why are we not getting a full weekly report from OUR UNION on what has been discussed. What has been agreed, what has not been agreed. They are quick enough to put items on the website regarding their political persuasions and race relations, dignity in the workplace and all things that may or may not be important to some, but the bl..dy topic of conversation the bulk of posties are concerned about, we get nothing.

I thought nothing was agreed until everything was agreed. So they can't tell us anything until they tell us everything.Lincox wrote:I agree with Piranha. What happened at last weeks review. Although we could tell them now ,that whatever it is, we don't like it.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
