We don't lapse all year, just the summer months. We are getting a revision next month with this new delivery methods thing they have coming in. It's going to c*ck up the office no doubt and they will still expect summer lapsing I reckon. Our office is in for a big shock in 2010, I don't think most people realise just how cr*p it is going to be.

Half our office has been lapsed and its a real mess. They still plan to do the rest of the office come January though... so they whole place is gonna be one big feck up soon

We absorbed Monday and Tuesday this week. We have been off IPS earlier than normal as we're not prepping PT walks over xmas pressure, plus the mail is no worse than any other time of year. Added to that we've been out early due to no missort run and we can't really complain about doing a bit of absortion on light days.

I'm on delivery, and letters this week have been no worse than usual, apart from on packets which have been heavier than any other xmas I can remember. Flats have been virtually non existent which takes away a lot of weight.

The difference for us is that we normally spend 2hrs+ on IPS because we have to prep PT walks, but as PT staff are coming in early over Xmas pressure we are on IPS 30-45 minutes less than usual as we all stay on until it's done. 90% of the office have been gone before 9am these last couple of weeks.

As for finish times, I won't say as you never know who's reading and to be quite honest i'd be called a liar or a runner, and i'm neither. I'll just say i've finished within time.

We lapse a vacant duty. We only did it on Mon/Tues this week as it was very light on delivery. The rest of the week it's covered on OT.
