accident while delivering in the snow

i guess im right in thinking if i slip over while on delivery ,obviously i'll be walking 2.5 mph due to the weather conditions , or is it slower in trecherous conditions, could it it be a compo claim plus aod

Only if your DOM can't prove it was your fault by not be careful e.g correct shoes & hi vs etc on. Remember a hi vs is the answer to everything.

I slipped on iced snow nov last year. Still have problems with my elbow as a result now and claim is hitting brick wall as RM dispute that it was unavoidable. I stepped out of van and immediately slipped, as is human natue to try to break fall you try to grab something in this case it was the van door I was stepping out of. RM reckon I would not have hurt my arm if I just fell over and did not try to protect myself. When I originally reported incident to DOM the first two quetions I was asked where did you have correct shoes on and your hi vis vest!
Anyway being careful is not enough for any claim be prepared for a fight.

snow chains for the correct foot wear.... storm proof jacket.... lighter weights in delivery pouches....only try to atempt awkward stairs to climb for flats...walking gingerly...and do not cycle to delivery round get a lift out in a transit or crew bus.. these are just some of the things to help you safe guard your health and safety

RM still supply them, I got some last year and there are some in our office now.

We all got offered them today in my office,come in a nice little pouch, so no claims for us if we slip over and are not wearing them
