Anyone's office not going out today? I haven't left yet, but the snow is 8 inches thick and still falling.

I told them I'll try my best to get to work, but I'm not going to break my neck risking it in this snow.

It's my day off anyway and we had about six inches of snow and if my delivery didn't go out today then it means double tomorrow and I wouldn't be pleased about that. It's snowing heavily now and the forecast is for more heavy snow today and overnight so if they they didn't go out today then I'm not going out tomorrow.

i got into work and they sent out out on delivery, they told us just do what we want as something is better than nothing. Most people dont about half a walk.

got to work, been sat here since ten doing nothing. won't let us deliver, won't let us go home, don't have anything to do.

Some offices in the essex area went out some never in our office we had an option of taking some work out which the dom checked, and we went out, but to walk as was not allowed to use bikes and the drivers at the time were unable to drive,

I got my son to meet me at the top of the road and used his sledge to pull the bag on as a couple of days ago I slipped on ice with only a couple of letters in my hand.

not looking forward to t/morrow though I don't mind walking on snow but when it turns to ice I don't like

No one at my office went out, we spent all morning on IPS and prepping walks. Another 10cms due to fall around 5pm this afternoon, so don't know whats happening about delivery tomorrow.

Hardly any snow here, mail was fairly light though so probably some is held up with the weather elsewhere.

I can only remember once when we didn't go out in snow.
That was Feb 2001 when it snowed non-stop from saturday afternoon until monday morning.
Even with cars completely buried those who didn't make it in were docked a days pay.
It took a real fight to get that money back.
We have been out delivering when all you could see was the tops of the gates.
Although to be fair you could deliver half your walk from 1 bag in those days.
And our councils are much more used to dealing with snow than most.

We did not go out today in the IP1 to IP10 in Ipswich.
H&S is the reason.

up here in newcastle we did a full turn :( got out late and got finished late, damn kids chucking snowballs at me all day lol

HEAVY SNOW HERE IN KENT , NO DELIVERIES TODAY JUST PREP & IPS AND THE ROADS RUBBISH HARDLY ANY GRITTING
MORE SNOW EXPECTED HERE SHORTLY AND -5 TONIGHT SO PLENTY OF ICE .
GOD KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN TOMORROW IF WE GET THERE AND THAT IS A BIG IF.
