I agree with you here! A friend of mine is looking to lose their job over a postcard which was left in a safe pouch box overnight, now there looks to be more than 10 bags here unattended and packets just popping out for people to take???? Hmmmmm sorry fellow posties but this isn’t on, you cant leave bags of mail like that.

Firstly its not the posties fault as he cannot physically carry all that mail so it has to go somehere. What should happen is the mail you see in the flats should be in safe overload drop boxes around the posties walk or brought out to him by an overload driver.
However due to cut backs imposed by management there is no longer the budget for any of this so these kind of shortcuts are taken to allow for the job to be completed.

We (the posties you are blaming) went on strike in 2007 to try to stop these very cut backs by RM but we still lost the drivers anyway and now you see the result.

Blame Royal Mail budget planning not the poor postie on the street as his only trying to do a differcult job.

Haha fair enough! I was not putting the blame on the postie, I can't see how managment let that to be considered a 'safe' drop? If there is blame its there fault but as usuall if any post/packets go missing/stolen then no doubt it will be the walkman that gets sacked??

I mate know its all wrong!! I wont suprised if RM or somebody highup sees that video and does a bit of tracking and sack the poor fella! You see it all the time with people posting youtube vids of them speeding only for the police to come knocking on there door with a dangerous driving charge.

It looks and sounds really bad for us when flagged up on Youtube. The guy has got a valid point as the mail is not secure.
Its sad as well as the postie is obviously a walker doing the job properly and not using his car and his made to look completely incompetent.
