We hardly had anything yesterday, but today got totally hammered with Flats, Packets and Cards. They were asking for week end sorting but most refused due to management renaging last year. Promised double time but never paid. The whole business is up the creek without a paddle. God bless them.

not as busy here as last week, still went 45 mins over, only 2 back b4 me, was off yesterday but was told it was very quiet spent most of morning waiting for mail to arrive..................gonna be sh@t 2morrow as i on a rural............they have been going over by up to 3 hours

Aye, towns are loving it right now as there's no missort run and between wagons they are getting most of the coded mail done and we've not been getting any on our 3rd [last] wagon, so they have all been ready before 9 and those that are quick are out at 8.30am.

I reckon tomorrow you'll get hammered.

Doesn't surprise me, being Xmas pressure. All mail centres will be running outward mech plans first. Did you have an increase in IPS or manual letters? If so that's probably what would have been run through the machines had they not been running outward plans.

Chances are the driver doing the run to your DO is taking whatever specials and tracked are available plus whatever else is available, letters, flats, etc and is probably easily filling the van up. You'll get hammered with Amazon specials any day now if you haven't already, there sending out a fair bit of specials now.
