IB pulled me today

Bloke at work got pulled by them a while back for not wearing a RM jacket and thought he could of been some random dude! LOL

They also pulled a couple of lads I heard a while back and they got bollocked for having more than one bundle of mail in the front of their vans even though the van was locked!

IB are too busy frisking everybody who leaves our nearby outhouse to bother us.
At least a couple a day being escorted of the premises for theft (allegedly).

Bloke stops me, shows me ID etc, says hes IB doing security checks. Said not to worry as I was fine with what I was doing. Had Hi Viz on, Helmet on, wasnt leaving bag anywhere, was locking bike etc etc. Then asked if my DOM ad told me he was coming ?? I said no. He says, right, we tell the doms ere coming and leave it upto them whether they tell you to expect us or not ?? 95% of DOM s tell there staff apparently, but he said ours must have chosen to take a different route!!

I was fine apart from I had no ID Badge. He was amazed id worked here 17 years and had no badge ! I aguely recall having my photo taken for one but was never given it. No one in our office bar 1 or 2 wear them.

Jimmy....you should of said to him that he is better off sorting mail to help get it to our customers then pratting around

Blimey, must have been a quiet day for the IB. Still, bet you felt better for some idiot playing cops and robbers telling you he hadn't seen you drop any elastic bands, that your HI-VIS was nice and clean, and that your DIM is one hell of a sneaky pratt.

I invested in a decent waterproof and I have never been issued with a high vise. My fault or my doms?

It is the responsibility of your supervising officer ( your lineo, and by extrapolation, your DOM as well ), but get on the blower to Uniform, and order your own hi-vis and stormproof coat ( and any other PPE you need such as boots or shoes you should be supplied with )

What the feck has H&S got to do with the IB? What excactly is their remit? Judging by the thread they appear to be nothing more than wannabe coppers, that if they cant catch anyone nicking or putting mail at risk, try to justify their existance by picking people up for minor uniform infringements. They want to try popping to my office where pouches of mail shoved under a bush is considered a safe drop.

do IB carry warrant cards (what sort of badge is it?) or just RM ID cards?
