Accident off duty

Hi , I am in need of some advice regarding an accident off duty i had yesterday whilst playing 5 a side , i broke my wrist and am led to believe i will be on the sick for a few weeks . I have been told by different mates at work everything from ''i will be on full pay til i go back'' to the opposite end of the scale that
'' I will only get 4 weeks full pay as its an accident off duty'' can anyone shed any light on this ? Thanks in advance red72

If you are a long term full timer you'll be on full pay, not sure how that works for new starters anymore though You will trigger a Stage for being off, I broke my arm in a fall at home a few years ago and got a Stage 1 for it.

I was going to add that it has been all down hill since the Stage 1 but did'nt want to worry the OP

Don't worry about that, they would still give you a Stage for an AOD

yeah i know but if it added up eventually to a stage 3 then they would probably have to overlook it

Been with RM for 20yrs and not on any stage.

it doesnt matter why how where or when you got injured or sick, you are entitled to 6months full pay before you would then go down to half pay, my guess is your manager is saying its 4 weeks because it wants you back asap but thats not true. My mate broke his leg playing football for our sunday team and he had 4 months off work full pay and then light duties for another 6 weeks when he returned.
