Re: If you think your lifes tough -
It's been said before but £1600 a month for a mortgage is one massive house! (or a very low loan length)
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

You're living beyond your means my friend.
Your kids wont thank you for it long term, you're going to make yourself ill.

Re: If you think your lifes tough -
question for you buddy, might help you a little here, are either yourself or wife getting part of your pay in child care vouchers?
could save you a bit of money here, if your paying for child care, and dont do it at the moment, you are loosing out, ask your or your wifes employer to pay part(or all) your wages as child care vouchers, dont know if rm do it, but most big employers do, the reason they save you money is they are deducted at source BEFORE tax is calculated, so you dont pay as much in tax as a result, anyway hope this helps
merry xmas

A teacher at work until 7pm every day?
Mine is one too and she's home before 5 almost every day, that's with management meetings as well. Fridays she's home for 3.30.
ps: We're on £4k a month between us, no kids, £400 a month mortgage and still skint!
