RM want to know how much of a risk we are driving, so they have come up with this plan to put all drivers through a driving simulator which takes (as i've been told) about 2 hours. the simulator will then tell the manager which driver is High, Medium or low risk. Anyone who is high risk will be encouraged by management to make the low risk category.
My own personal view is that RM's motor insurance must be sky high and therefore RM want to remove high risk drivers, eventhough management will deny this citizen

The mind boggles! Glad I gave up driving duties. BUT this surely will be great for folks who do not want to be drivers any more--just flunk the test!

They've been rolling this out for a couple of years now, it's a hazard awareness test (I believe like the driving test) although I did one with an examiner after my second accident (2 wing mirrors, one because I hit a tree that had fallen down across a country road and one when someone knocked it off whislt I was parked up).

Well--if only you kept both hands on the steering wheel, instead of employing it the way you tell us you do, these accidents would not happen! And what were you doing that you could not see a tree in the road? or has your hobby left you blind? Have a nice day!

We in our office have a management simulator. IT DOES FECK ALL!.

already done it in our office,you won't believe some of the hazards you are meant to see,Lee Majors & his bionic eye would have a job,anyways if you fail any of the questions (which you will) at the end of the test you start again & get them right + its 2 hrs off yer duty

Spoke to some one today that has done this simulator test and they have informed me that you sit at a pc for 2 hrs going through different driving seniorios and here was me thinking it was like a flying simulator ! DOH !

I think its similar to a trial run version i done many years ago whilst on holiday for the DVLA

It is the driver risk assessment test we all in our office have had it a year or so ago it is a multiple choice test with basic road safety test run on power point system software!.

From what was said to me no it sounds similar .

Did you have lets say for example you going down a road in your van and at the end of it you had to identify any hazards ie peds on the road children by park vehicles etc etc .
If so then it sounds like the same test.

wot a waste of time this is our boss left us with all the answers in front of us we got them all right and were still medium risk must be something to do with the job
