Do you think there will more VRs in the new year ? with all the mail centres merging, contraction of delivery offices ? I'm from round the North West region.

And if that doesn't suit RM's figures enough compulsory will follow no doubt and the worst think is the CWU will have agreed it on our behalf.
Life's only rosey if you make it that way...... There is life outside of Royal Mail you know!

there will be vr's as well as sackings and ill health retirement , anything to get our numbers down

It is unlikely a manager would shoot anyone.
With his coffee in one hand and his todger in the other, how would he hold the gun?

RM won't ever need to make anyone compulsory redundant, most offices will have a queue a mile long for VR.

7 In my office have put in for it next year and the office is in chaos now had to bring in NUMPTy managers today to clear packets as they had cut out a driving duty in the summer :dance :crazy:

Don't worry at least 2 on that list are likely to go off half cocked anyway knowing RMs managerial potential.

I hope there will be more VR's, I put a preference form in this year but heard nothing, I'll go for £10k i'm that desperate to get out of it now.

I haven't got any preference forms, I am in a delivery office, dunno if that makes any difference.

The reason I am asking is that somebody said to me there won't be anymore VRs it will be all compulsory, his is the last VR to go.

I certainly hope there will be VRs next year, I am ready to make a new start, I am have been in 22 years in my early 40s, so I am looking to make a sideways move to another Job or training, can't be any worse than what we got now.
