Is it right that you have three months from the date of dismissal and not three months from the date of the alleged offence?
For instance if you allegadly committed an offence and it took five months to sack you will you have lost your chance of an ET or will the three months start at the day of your dismissal?
Thanks.

To be honest I have no idea which is why I started the Employment Tribunals thread in Downloads http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 36&t=22554" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - Hopefully a read through all the links provided will answer your query.La Poste wrote:Is it right that you have three months from the date of dismissal and not three months from the date of the alleged offence?

Re: EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNALS
You have a very strict 3months from the date of dismissal to put your et1 into the tribunal. The tribunal only need to acknowledge that the timescales have been adhered to and the internal processes can continue. After all internal appeals have been heard then a tribunal date will be set.

Re: EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNALS
I would just like to ask has anyone here actually been to an employment tribunal?
What sort of thing goes on there?
I mean have they got a dock that people stand in and swear an oath and all that or is it just people sitting round a table and talking?
Thanks.
