Going home knackered

Is the job harder or am i getting old ? Done 15 years and today did 3 hours docket with packets and bit of extra delivery. Home at 5pm. That's 11 hour day for 11 hours pay ! Unheard of 10 years ago my colleagues. What happened to the afternoon nap ?

Yep a posties job really is a thankless one nowadays,,,,and it really wears youre body down esp later in life ,knees back and shoulders apart from that its a lovely caring company !

I'm still lucky enough to not have kids!

It is a knackering job at times even if you don't do any OT, once upon a time I used to do parcels and collections as extra but now I cannot be arsed.

Almost every one in my office who do walks say they go home knackered,a lot have back /knee problems,far greater than at other places I have worked.
Now we are expected to longer deliveries.CWU and RM say its ok .

If its taking a toll on your body now it can only get worse.Even pulling a trolley as more and more guys do in our office still puts a lot of strain on your body.

Very stupid idea should not the CWU who are meant to represent members intrest commision a report onto the long term affect of outdoor walking deliveries on the human body.
But I would have to ask their masters at RM first!

This is a serious problem,and should be looked at by professionals.
