Go in to the meeting, sneeze (deliberately) all over him and announce that you feel too ill to continue and leave. By the time you get back to work he will have gone off with the same thing and I bet no one sends him a letter .....or will you :)

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Yeah it`s the standard `wish you were here` one they send out now as soon as your off ill and that they can always find you some work as they are a large employer(funny but they can`t find you any when it concerns the DDA though eh? :hmmmm )
When I had my last seizure at work they had the decency to wait till the day after I was out of hospital to send it.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

Yeah that seems to be the norm now:sending out threatening letters in an effort to intimidate u back to work. They tried to do that also to a mate of mine. My mate was off on sick due to getting a dodgy pair of caterpillar boots and they ended up tearing ligaments in his foot. The DOM sent him a letter with a recommendation from ATOS that he does indoor work as his foot is injured. But the fact of the matter is this: ATOS are not professionals in the field of medicine and my friends doctor advised him not to work at all as rest is the the best remedy for his injury. So, my mate basically told the DOM to go and feck imself. Oh before that happened he asked if there was a wheelchair at the delivery office for him to use to go to interview and also if they were agreeing to pay for the taxi to bring him to and from the interview and both of the answers were no
