Payment...or lack of.

Genuine questions...

1. Has anyone else ever worked for an employer that has so much difficulty in paying what has been earned (OT, D2D etc etc) on the correct pay day...if at all.

2. Has anyone else ever worked for an employer that has so much difficulty sorting out any errors in payment...even after the second time of asking.

My answers to both are a resounding...NO!

Strange as it may seem, my wages have never been wrong in over 9 years. I also don't remember hearing of anyone in my office having any problems either. That leads to the conclusion that if the payroll department goes by the information provided by your office, then your managers are to blame, not RM in particular. Now that is a surprise.

I would echo a big NO.
Funny how they make such a big thing about wilful delay of mail when in reality it's not wilful but down to unacheviable expectations and yet they wilfully delay or ignore ot claims, legally there is no difference between wilful delay of mail and witholding ot payments. Both are wrong.

My OT used to be wrong every week until I got union rep involved amazing howits now spot on each week. Now it's my D2D payments which a screwed up all the time.

had a few errors with d2ds and o/t payments even had manager phone me on day off to ask about my forecasted o/t from previos day .genrally things paid as they should , when i done a floating duty for 5 years i once got paid for 3 d2ds that i off course never delivered

i only thought it was my office that had problems if it is not overtime paid on time its the d2ds this is on a regular basis

Yes, I have. But it was a small business, with less than 60 Employees. For such a big employer to have this sort of problems is ludicrous IMHO.

A lad in our office didnt get paid for his door to doors one week so told our boss. He rang up and they said they'll sort it. The next week still no payment so complained again. They said they'll look into it. Still no payment. Then he got told that they had a proper look into it and found out that the payment had been paid to another lad in the office by mistake. He then got told that they will not be making the payment twice so he'll have to ask the lad to give him the money himself.

I can go one better than that! A few years ago in the run up to the general election we delivered all the candidates pamphlets and were paid the correct monies at the correct time (in some cases up to £1000)...................the following week we were paid the exact same ammount!!!!!!! one guy phoned up sheffield to query this and was told that every thing was shipshape and bristol fashion so we got to keep it i personally scored £800!!!

Yeah that should have happened but we work for RM remember.

my actual pay is usually correct, I have never had trouble being paid overtime, but my d to d payments are missing about 50 per cent of the time and I claim mileage expenses, because I work at another office and I have to keep good records and nag them for the dosh because they pay it weeks in arrears.
