Re-delivering items
Had 2 packets today that people had requested to be re-delivered only for them not to be in when i arrive. Another 739 left and 2 extra packets to carry around and take back to office. We should charge them a fee for any other re-delivery if that happens.

Re: Re-delivering items
My customers only get 1 attempt by me for redelivery, if not in, they want the packet they have to collect.

Re: Re-delivering items
I couldn't care less about how many times I have to attempt redelivery, it could be 100 times because at the end of the day I get paid to work my hours and if it takes me to my time then sobeit.
It does help that I have a van though.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Re-delivering items
Sorry but Bollocks again, you are there to provide a service to the customer, never forget that, so even if they are rude and out of order, smile and do your best, thats what seperates us from the rest of the companies that are trying to steal our business, do everything you can to help a customer, what you are doing is a Complete disregard to the customer and no wonder people are loosing loyalty to royal mail with actions like yours, granted there are bigger fish to fry, but every single little bit you do helps secure the future for everyonecoxie wrote:that winds me up, when it happens to me i cross out the back of the 739 and put collection only on the card lol

Re: Re-delivering items
Take it as many times as it takes, your paid to do a job so just do it. Who are we to judge whether someone is entitled to have a packet delivered or not.
As said it is this part of our service that we should be highlighting, and the fact they could have it re-delivered to their workplace. Non of the courriers offer a service like us for packet delivery and collection.

Re: Re-delivering items
I'd redeliver something every day until they are eventually in if that's what it takes to get it delivered doesn't matter how many times they request it and are not in. Not out of sense of duty or customer service but out of he fact we are paid to deliver, if it causes a loss of rev for RM that's their problem I still get paid, and if it causes me to exceed my hrs and cut off that's RM's problem too.
