Re: office grievance
To get the best effect you need to get everyone to put in a grievance singly rather than just one signed by you all.
All you need to put in the letter is to point out that it is a grievance, the reason for the grievance, against who and your own name and office. This should be sent to your Dom unless it is him/her who the grievance is against in which case it should all be sent to the cluster manager. You should beware that the manager could in turn file out bullying and harrassment grievances against everyone who put in a grievance but it is unlikely as they will not want this dragging out and ruining their chances of any promotion. You must stand strong and if you havent heard anything within 14 days then you should fill in another grievance against the person you sent the original grievances to.
Good luck guys/girls

Re: office grievance
Ask your area rep to get a JPS in motion he will know what you mean ive forgotten what JPS stands for and have only been involved in one.
The DOM concerned was never allowed to step foot in our office again once it was all over.
Do not put in a mass grievance do it the JPS way the outcome is more severe for your DOM than a grievance.
If you think a mass grievance is the way to go dont waste your time and effort nothink will come of it.
Do it the rite way the JPS way.
It is only your area rep that can get the ball rolling on this so get in touch with your branch asap.

Re: office grievance
the buisiness will not accept multiple identicle grievances. The proceedure is for "individual "grievances only. The correct process for a collective complaint is via the C.W.U. Rep. If you have no rep then the Area rep assumes that role. If the complaint is against a process or proceedure or failure to follow local or national agreements then your rep/area rep can deal with these collective issues.
It is also fiesable that only one of you could put in an individual grievance as a test case if the complaint is against a process or proceedure.
If the complaint is againt an individual and the accusation would constitute bullying and or harrassment then the bullying and harrassment proceedure could be followed and a complaint could be made individualy by all the complainants. I would advise contacting the Branch for further advice.
not sure about the John Player Specials tho ?

Keep a diary of everything that is going on,no matter how trivial you think it is.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Dont bother asking the area rep to sort it out just ask him to get a JPS in motion all other routes are a waste of time and effort beleve me .

Re: office grievance
if you all put the same grievance in it will treated as a collective grievence and will go down the I/R framework look into this .....its all in the proceedures
