Dont want to give anymore details than that im in the midlands but today the union for each office received the above pack.

In it is how fast we are to consider the next wave of savings plans, concerning plans to be drawn up immediately and any non compliance to be flagged to DSM and higher Immediately.

Any regular to this site over the past few years will know the sort of stuff in it, what is alarming is the pace at which they are pushing, this is to be agreed A.S.A.P, as in next week or week after.

Anyone else recieved these packs and areas please, we need to know if this is a regional thing.

To be honest im trying to figure out exactly what you mean.

We have had in our office a proposal thats been put forward to lose S/A and O/T on the driving as part of there 8% savings .

Told them to go jump just awaiting there response.

But please ellaborate more so we may fully understand your post.

These support packs are a management booklet, that is shared with the local CWU Rep.

The information or wording in the booklet is very alarming, it would appear that management are being told, get what you can out of the Local Rep prior to a National Agreement being reached, where your Rep is slowing progress, then they are told to fast track it to the DSM.

Ask your manager over the next few days, if they have received such a booklet from their manager.

Funnily enough our business plan for 2010/11 is currently eing dealt with by our dsm.

He got the same rsponse from me as our DOM would of if he had been dealing with it so it makes no odds to me whos dealing with it.

i have been told by my DOM he wants a big meeting tomorrow to discuss some savings,
however i have been warned from somebody else that all the managers have had the pack your talking about.
