days off at xmas and new year

does anyone know if we are off 26th and 28th dec?
and the 2nd, 4th and 5th jan(scotland usually get a extra day at new year) managers in my office dont seem to know and some are under the impression we will be working boxing day (yeah right)

look its straight forward 25th friday day off, 26th saturday day off as this is recognised as a bank holiday and most are off all ready mon 28th becomes day off in compensation for the saturday. Everybody has lovely jubly time eat drink and make merry. :

Nar that's not right, last december we still got our normal days off with the chance to if we wanted to work them, it'll be the same again this yr. There is nee way in hell am working 6 days a week leading upto xmas, especially cos it wud'nt be fair cos some guys at my office work 6 days a week for six weeks then have a week off so if that was to happen we would be working extra than them. X-mas, boxing day and new yrs day are all paid holidays same with all bank holidays. And if we were to work bank holiday we would have to get time and a half

It would be impossible to have everyone working their day off in the week running up to Xmas.

Staffing levels will be at a maximum as no AL over the pressure, so having everyone in to do what exactly???

That would be 7 men/women in my office in twiddling their thumbs as all duties will be covered.
