Hi,
I currently get £12.37 from Network 2007 Pay Protection, or grandfathers rights as we call it. There are soon to be a few duties up for grabs in my office and i was thinking of having a change from my 6am start (was 5am) town round to a different 6am start (was 5am) town round. The DOM says if anybody changes duties they lose the £12.37. Does anybody know if this is the case? Thanks.

Re: Grandfathers rights
Early shift allowance in delivery will be permanently retained.
Hi fosal29 - go to downloads in Union Room and look for pay and mod agreement 2007-2009. It's in LTB. Grandfather rights mean that allowance is paid in perpituity.
Cheers

Early shift allowance in delivery will be permanently retained.
In addition, those who had already moved to later start times as long ago as May 05 and were in receipt of MTSF payments will now retain those payments permanently.

Re: Grandfathers rights
you DOM is wrong, you only lose it if you change jobs or offices within the company, a new duty or walk does not count as a change of job so you keep your allowance

I think its dependant on the role - if you remain in a job which would have been getting the early shift allowance then you will keep getting it.fosal29 wrote:Thanks. In this instance I would say no - you would lose it.
I think you would. Although as in the above case they are no specific guidelines which allows RM to try it on when they can.woofwoof wrote:so if you take a buy down in hours do you lose the night allowance
