Driving Licence Checks

We have our licences checked every 6 months, yesterday the LM came round and asked me to check and sign a form which is to be sent off to the DVLA for checks, is this happening everywhere or just my office? I wonder what cock ups RM have made this time, last time it was letting new drivers drive the large crew buses which according to their licences they were'nt entitled to, RM's answer to this was to take a couple of rows of seats out :roll:

They won't contact the DVLA because it costs too much :chuckle I really think that they (the management) have no idea what they're doing and just blunder from one f*** up to the next.

This happened at my place.......................................5 years ago. :crazy:

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

didn't even ask for mine when I started, was just asked if I'd passed my driving test !!!

Ive never been asked for mine either I dont think. But I did get asked for my passport when Id worked for RM over 2 years. :shock: Never got told why just got told by a manager that she had to do it and other people had to as well which I think was bullshit. Had to send it off for someone to look at it then it came back. Anyone know why they would want to do this? :hmmmm

Or maybe they could have planted me as a spy in europe, in the dutch, german or french post and see what there plans are when they take over the running of the british mail service in the great RM sell up. :shock: :shock:
