Grievance Form
Does anyone know of a link where I can get a copy of the grievance form? Also, is it better to send it off to Rugby or Coventry instead of givin it to the managers where they can try and hide it or talk you out of it? Cheers

Re: Grievance Form
either ask your manager or rep for 1
when you fill it in, give a copy to your CWU rep dated
give 1 to your manager and 1 for area manager this way it cannot be ignored
dont let them talk you out of it
good luck

Re: Grievance Form
You can send in a grievance by letter to your line manager. You do not have to use the Grievance form.
Alternatively, phone up HR directly on 0845 6060603 - not sure of which option number it is after that - then you can go through the start of a grievance by phone and they will send you the relevant documents and advise you on the steps you need to take. Always send a copy to your Union Rep and keep a copy yourself.
I have attached a copy of the IGP Stage 1 Grievance Form below.

Re: Grievance Form
DO NOT GIVE A COPY TO YOUR DIM .
Get your rep to post it to the DSM whom your DIM is under and make sure he puts on the back RTS to CWU rep and then your office .
This is the way its done in our office so many times have grievances not been heard when posties have handed there forms to there dim as they go missing .
Since we have been doing it this way all grievances are heard and none have ever gone walkies funny that isnt it.

Re: Grievance Form
Instead of giving it to a manager is it better to send it to that place in Rugby?

Re: Grievance Form
If you do this it can be construed by RM as going out of procedure and immediately being moved to a stage 2 grievance which can lead to complications further down the road. I know this from experience.MoNkEyBoY wrote:DO NOT GIVE A COPY TO YOUR DIM .

As pointed out above, write to your line manager and copy it in to your CWU rep. If you have not had a response within 7 days ask your line manager in the presence of your CWU rep if he has received the letter. If he denies receipt, then present him there and then with another copy - your CWU rep will be your witness. All you will lose then is the 7 days you have so far waited.
The whole Grievance procedure does have a set time limit for each stage so your CWU rep should be able to advise you on those and ensure that
doesn't happen.Expect it to be a long drawn out performance, they will have you sending stuff here there and everywhere, then send some snotty nosed manager to interview you with an attitude that leaves you wanting to punch their lights out.
Again this is why it is a good idea to get things logged, with a call reference number at HR, which you include in your letter. If your initial letter does go missing you call HR and get this fact added to your referenced call log. It is surprising how letters don't get lost so much in the future.
Edit : as for being a B&H or a Personal Grievance - HR will let you know to who and where to send it.

Re: Grievance Form
Good valid points made there MERCIAN .
So i shall changes my ways on the advice you have given and i will carry on sending the forms to the DSM but also giving my dom a copy.
This way all bases are covered.
Cheers for the good advice.
