Meal Reliefs, Breaks etc
Can someone please put in simple terms how many breaks we are allowed during an 8 hour shift, including fag breaks. Thanks.
How much worse can it get? A LOT F****** WORSE !!!

AIUI - the only official breaks are the meal relief ones.
There is also a comfort break for toilet visits but there is no official time limit and it must not interfere with the work plan.
All other breaks are unofficial.

Official breaks for 8hrs are limited to 40mins in total, usually taken as 2 breaks of 20mins, or one of 40mins.
Or, you may choose to behave like a numpty and work without breaks just so you can go home early.

Grace Breaks
When work permits a grace break of 10 minutes, over and above the standard entitlements, should be allowed on all indoor and outdoor jobs. In no circumstances should this be scheduled. Where it is not possible to provide a grace break before going out on first delivery the employee should be given the chance to have cup of tea before leaving the office.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

cheers, so that means i got to tie up, kill off deads, redirections, travel to round which is 15 mins and do 3 and half hr walk. lol
