In the 'Old days' my neighbours thought i was 'part time' i finished so early,10 is my record on a week day :whistle

Now they think i've got 2 'Postman' jobs :sad:
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

7.40 for me. On the streets at 6.45, 3 bundles and 2 dvd sized packets, no Recs or Regs, flew round and it was still dark when I finished.

Once, before the single delivery, London were on strike and I had finished my delivery, returned to the office, took out half a delivery, finished that and was home by 9.00. Another time I had finished an extra round and another half round and was home by 12.00 and still being paid till 9.45 at night. But it was hard graft.

That must have been back in the time of Spanish practices then?

My earliest ever finishing time would be 8:45, but I started in 2005.

In the house at 7.15am was my earliest finish :nana

I covered a City Centre duty that only had 5 drops go out on a Saturday, but the deal was the driver took them and you took a few extra bits for him during the week - so it was into work, prep it up and go home :dance

My easiest was back in the 70s when we went back after Christmas and there was scarcely half a dozen bags of mail for an office of 50 deliveries. I had about 10 letters and it took me about 6 minutes on the bike. I would have finished a lot earlier but had to hang around for dawn to break cos i couldn't see a bloody thing. Went home after that :Very Happy Aaaah happy days !

I used to be outside Mc, Dons at 8am on a sat in 1999 waiting for them to open to get me big brek :nana

On a week day i rem back in 1988 on an easy monday getting around to my then girlfriends at 9.30am on her day off (when her dad went to work) just to join her for breakfast of course :whistle. Then home to bed by 10.30am knackerd :nana :nana :nana :angel :angel :angel

Remember the days when if you had more than three bundles on a tuesday it was busy :Very Happy oh how times have changed now if you had three bags on a tuesday it would be an effin miracle (or you had cut off and just taking half your walk)

08.15 on a saturday in the good old days when first letter was 07.00 and 09.30 off the road
