Sold out by the CWU. R/M are steaming ahead with their own agenda while the CWU sit's in the corner with it's thumb firmly stuck up it's arse.
Now the backlog has been almost cleared the manager's have a free hand to once again do as they please. Now they know just how quickly the CWU will fold and how now they have lost the support from a large percentage of it's memeber's they will continue full ahead.
CWU you should all resign from your post's you are all turn coat's you have lied and cheated the very people you take money from and are supposed to represent.

yeah totally agree with this post, I've tried very very hard over the last couple of weeks to see that the union acted in our best interests, but it's certainly not looking like it's gonna turn out that way....

I quit back in July bud, basically i had signed for my own duty after a couple of the older lads had retired, thought the days of messing about would be over, but 2 days in to new duty, i came in and was moved at short notice to a walk i hadnt done in ages..so i thought "sod it" chucked my bundle up in the air & walked....

had 4 months off, been a struggle at times, but you always have a friend with betfair starting a new job on Monday

For what it is worth, I'm a postman over 10 years paid my union fees from day 1 and supported every thing they have asked. During the last strike I was with the rest at the gate even after the let down of the 2007 "deal". To be honest this is it, I have cancelled my union subscription and will not even acknowledge another strike and hope many follow. I know this is easier said than done but this is my intention.

so whats been happening folks? I know the talks are not going well and standing down the strikes was a bad move but has there been any more developments.I for one wont be crossing any future picket lines cos our leadership let us down,im still up for a fight.

Im sure thats what RM want to hear, just a few more like you and all would be lost. NO UNION NO CHANCE is how see it and as for the 2007 agreement we all had a chance to see it before voting on it, i like many voted NO to it, but was out voted and had to make the best of it. This time around whatever the final deal is it will still be better than whats on offer at the moment which is RM doing everything by EA and having lost 18 days pay i'll give our union a chance to get a deal

I agee with you as if we did not have the cwu fighting our corner were would we be now, totally beaten into submission.
I do believe we will have a far better result than most of my fellow rm workers are expecting, we just have to have the balls to fight this lot, and yes I have also lost 18 days and am willing to loose a lot more if we need, and those that only lost 2 days and are bleating about the loss saying why well if by anychance we do you will soon find out, but we wont

Exactly.If anyone thinks things will be better without a union they really should visit a shrink.On our own we are nothing together we have a voice.
