2-year serious/ suspended dismissal?
What mis-demeanours would warrant this sort of disciplinary action by Royal Mail (the 2 year serious warning or suspended dismissal), its in the conduct code but why would you get a suspended dismissal?

Customer came out ranting about a packet she was waiting for.
He told her that her packet had been lying in the office for a week.(no packet duties).
She went ballistic.
He told her to feck off.

A wee guy in our office got threatened of a colleague with witnesses there everything got turned around to make him out to be the bad one, as far as i'm aware he's on a 2year thingy, Yep f***ing stinks eh! Bullying Managers and their little favourites, seems anything goes in our office depending who you are, 1 rule for employees another rule-book for the blue-eyed boys.

Re: 2-year serious/ suspended dismissal?
Not being funny - it's how RM operate , somebody gets threatened by somebody , RM twist everything round on it's head to suggest the threatened person was the perpetrator - a stitch uphantsman wrote:PostieWithTheMostie wrote:A wee guy in our office got threatened of a colleague with witnesses there everything got turned around to make him out to be the bad one, as far as i'm aware he's on a 2year thingy, Yep f***ing stinks eh! It's how they protect their managers .
If you'd witnesses to corroborate something , RM will find witnesses ( usually blue eyed boys ) from nowhere ( often other managers - sometimes looking for promotion ? ) to state the complete opposite happened or deny something . Bit like a prison - 9 screws swear blind that such and such a thing happened .
As far as RM are concerned , staff have been "discouraged " from putting grievances & complaints in , RM's attitude is that there is too many complaints . Everything is to a predetermined outcome and to impress .
The person on a serious warning has been softened up on Planet RM - the boxes have been ticked . I've known people get other jobs at less pay and resign as RM have deliberately made things difficult - to RM it's a result , they and other firms will have this down to a fine art , the problem is that it's notoriously hard to prove the blindingly obvious in a Constructive Dismissal Tribunal .
