RM making any effort, anywhere?????

Not in my office, no sign of any sitting down to renegotiate, no sign of putting hours back in, boosting IPS...

No sign of anything except the bods pushing through the Geo-route....

Are there any offices where ANYTHING at all is happening about this interim agreement?????

I'm still trying to be positive about the agreement, but it's already feeling like familiar RM territory...

nothing but putting guys on stages here strange that they are all fulltime, but then again we have a new bullyboy manager, if anything things have got worse and anything they want to change they just bypass the union.

Ours wasn't working at all, plus no longer any canteen.

Managers talking to us as if they already know the outcome of negotiations, well so do we, (only those down at CWU headquaters seem to think any different).

The most worrying thing for me was the day the strikes got called off, On the news later that evening the reporter said "Now the strikes have been called off,Royal Fail can now move on with the modernisation" So as far as i'm concerned very little is going to change

I take it this "period of calm" is just going to last long enough for Royal Fail to get Christmas out of the way, with everyone working like donkeys, and then it'll be business as usual!!

Hope the CWU aren't as stupid as most of us think they are and get something down in writing before weve lost the strength of our bargaining position. I very much doubt it, after Christmas Im expecting... "Go on then strike if you want to weve made our money!" Am I just being to sceptical ? Does Royal Fail really want to make this work? :

No talking at Bristol Mail Centre. The managers are unwilling to negotiate about anything they've brought in or are just finalising. Acting managers still causing problems, stage 3, suspension results etc. I don't think it would have been a good idea to strike near Christmas anyway. End of January/Feb we should start where we left off - Friday followed by Monday strike. Interestingly though for the first time since I've been here managers have shown agression. An acting mail centre manager is currently suspended for knocking someone unconcious outside of work and another (who I thought was alright) squared up to someone to intimidate them.

thing's have gotten even wose then they were before the strike's where we are. the union is in danger of lossing all of it's support from london.

Got to say chaps in ours they are certantly making an effort.

We have had 4 duties put back in, our canteen is getting a full make over plus tv, were geting new lockers, the dims are leaving us alone, reps are getting allocated release time.

Bear in mind we had exe act served on us in august and since then we have cost R/M about £150-200 thousand pound and growing.

So i suppose they are just fixing what they broke but were getting a bit more .I have no doubt what so ever that the interim agreement drew up by the CWU has helped our cause some of the way.

For once our office is one of the lucky ones its a first for us in all my time working for R/M.

Alls i can say if it is a response to me is that everythink i have mentioned in my post is fact and in less than 2 weeks we will all be taking up our chosen walks and duties.
