URGENT HELP & ADVICE NEEDED ON BASICALLY GETTING DISMISSED..

Hello troops,

bad times for me.

If you read through my previous posts you will get the idea of what's been going on in my world.

So to cut a long story short, I have been working for Royal Mail for 9 years. Up until the last 6-8 months my conduct has NEVER been called into question. I now have two conduct cases against me. The first case I was charged with intentional delay of mail, putting the USO at risk and causing additional expense to the business. For this I received a '2 year serious warning'. Not long after this case was sorted (the case took 5+ months to sort by the way) the Assistant DOM took a mere 3 days to try and pin the very same charges on me again. My Union Rep could not believe how petty this case was. It has absolutely no substance. I took my first '2 year serious warning' on the chin as my manager made me feel that the whole office would be tested on their performance. This still hasn't happened. However my Assiatant DOM has pushed the second conduct case and I know have to answer the charges to a senior manager next Wednesday. The result of this I fear will be the worse possible outcome. I am shitting it to put it bluntly.

Currently I am off with stress due to being the only one of only two people in an office of 100 to be challenged about their performance. They could have 60% of the office on those charges on ANY given day.

I can't file a harassment complaint until the current conduct case is sorted. Not a great position to be in.

Can I be sacked whilst off sick with work related stress?

Can I be sacked on the spot next Wednesday in the meeting with the senior manager?

If I am sacked what way does an appeal work? I will be appealing straight away. Is the dismissal suspended until the outcome of the appeal? Do I still get paid during this time?

If I am sacked what way does my harassment claim work then? Can I pursue it with my appeal?

My head is all over the place!

Worse period of my life these last few months.

Any informative help and advice much appreciated.

PS Anyone in the Northern Ireland, preferably that knows some of the senior managers in our area, can you please PM me. As I would like to see if I can gather any information about the senior manager conducting my interview next Wednesday.

The interim agreement is crap but the silver lining for people in your position is the provision for no score settling 2.7, i would get your rep to go to work on them with that, and make sure they flag it up immediately to branch and national level. ive heard that in leeds there is one guy who was up for bullying (said scab to someone) who was let off no doubt because of that. Good luck mate hope you keep your job.

Sheesh, that's really bad. I really feel bad for you, and me a gooner as well!

I came close to a job loosing scenario myself very recently, though it was mostly to do with my health. Erm, I can't give you any practical help. Hopefully, you will have your rep, or someone that can state the circumstances of what you're being accused of, and a kindly manager who is able to see through other people's rash decisions.

He's been very good to me. Making lots of calls and all my meetings. Haven't really had a chance to have a good chat with him about the meeting next Wednesday as I only found out about it today.

Have you had a facting finding interview, if not they cant go straight to conduct, see your rep.

Basically you are not covered by this, it was mainly for any possible conduct issues that arose due to the Industrial action and mainly covers individuals behaviour, not what you have been asccused of.

can someone tell me the exact order any conduct charges against me should me dealt with and what should happen at each stage? What's the maximum time limit between interviews, meetings and decisions etc etc?
