ATOS AND WALK TESTING

I HAD the pleasure of atos ringing me up at home and after many questions came to the result that i am suffering from
Anxiety, depression, and stress all work relataed ,
my managers have been follloewing me for over 6 months trying to get me for anything .
on my delivery a manager turned up and asked me how many bags i had left ? i said i had five , his answer was you better get a move on then .i said about helping me and he replyed he would put some bags in a safe drop but that was it.
i had my round tested by a proper tester from newcastle and told me no matter whom does this round it needs some taking off it as it tested 4hr 50mins .
the manager told me in the yard before it got tested that no matter how long it took me he would get it retested as he had someone in line to make sure they did it in 3hr 30 mins .i,e been in formed that a girl is on the duty and not claiming any overtime and doing it in 3hr 30 mins . my rep has said not to worry about it as we have the proof in writing ,and it took them 4 days before they would give him a copy of the test ,my manager has also said when i was alone with him that i am past it and not capable of doing the duty .
it all came to a boil 3 week ,s ago when i was coming in early 5-30 for a 6 start mon and my line manager agreeing that i kneeded to get finished as quick as poss as my wife was at home in crutches after dislocating her knee on sat .tues ,came wed walk tested thurs , friday strike sat came and then the fun and games started .never seen so much mail any way didn,t know were to begin as i was in early 5-00 got most of my mail in and manager got us all in a huddle and said that we had to stream mail so as to complete a full delivery ,well i,d put most of mine in so i was flapping a bit and had been making a few mistakes with the pressure all week with quite a lot going on . i got most of my mail sorted out and baged up and asked for a run out you will have to wait half n, hour when there was 3 managers twiddling there thumbs and a few workmates on the floor sorting mail sort 3 magazines . go and have your meal break in the cannteen , were a all week we will help you being a family freindly job i was fuming stressed out and lost it completley remember kevin keggan i was worse than that all 3 were laughing behind my back sniggering i flew out thinking if only the rep was still here and not out on delivery.
any way iv,e been off 3 weeks and into my 4 week on mon and still cant stop thinking about the way i was treated i have to have a meeting with the line mnager this week i think any views lads cheers yours well and truly pissed off

What a wonderful caring employer Royal Mail is when your manager comes out with comments of your `Your past it` and `To get a move on`.That in itself is discrimination,just because he`s found(a new knock off eh )young girl to run around and NOT claim overtime is just the way this `company` is going to the dogs.

Ring the CWU helpline first and see what they say,if your still pissed off bang in a grievance,better to face upto them otherwise they will have you out of the job using the your not competent bullshit.

Let me guess Atos gave you a number to ring and offered YOU counselling?

This is it - you've got to have something on paper in Black & White for a " rainy day " , idiots like that manager don't think like that , but that's his problem .

Note everything down , " I rang such and such a number , spoke to whoever at this time " , you could ? have a B&H complaint put into Rugby but say you don't wish to persue it but want it registered . RM have to acknowledge it .

She either doesn't know she is entitled to claim after going over her time.

Or if she is on family credits then it will not pay her to increase her take home pay past a certain level, as the benefit will start to reduce.

Or she is not claiming because the manager has coerced her into not claiming.

Other scenarios involve a rocket, help by family members, 2010 Olympics, skates etc etc

it's a deliberate culture of fear to soften people up for privatization , if nothing else the likes of :lfo & :cfo etc are good puppetmasters , budgets and bonuses are the strings if you will .

the bit about being past it and a slip of a girl that dare not claim overtime is absolutely disgraceful , bullying , p*** poor management

like that 1 m8 i am due back at doctors on monday when i am measnt to be on holiday so hopefully a meeting with my rep to-morrow will result in some good news thanks for all the great replys

I'm about to have the pleasure of Atos. just gone off today with work related injury that's been going on for 5 weeks now but could take the pain any longer so wet to the doctors. DOM told me today he thinks I could work and has referee me to Atos.

tell them that you have a sick note and if they have any problems then they are questioning your doctors diagnosis , and to report him to the nhs if they think he is negligent that will stop them in there tracks. p


oh and by the way if they ask you to sign a form to let them look at your medical records tell them to f**k off and refuse

The 'girl doing it in 3:30' sounds like total BS to me. They will make up all sorts of complete BS to make you feel bad and either speed up to an unsafe practice (jumping over walls/overweight bags) or stop claiming and work on for nothing. I was told once 'so and so does it in time why can't you?'. I asked so and so and he was comming in 30mins early and not claiming his meal-relief. So he was working over an hour a day for free!

You shouldn't give them an excuse to sack you. You've been off enough for stress, get back in there, the longer you are away the harder it will be to go back. When you go back do your job how you know it is supposed to be done and try to feel no stress. Don't rush round inside or out. Take your time to do the job properly and tell them stright when you need to cut off. Don't get into a debate about it that's the worst thing to do. Say 'I can only manage this ammount today, full stop'. If they try to take it further say your happy to be tested and say again what you can manage. If they say so and so can do it say 'I can't comment on that' and get back to your work. If they say anything dodgy tell them you are being harrassed and if it continues you will make a formal complaint. If they continue fill in a bullying andf harassment form. Simple. Don't let them stress you out, do the job propery AND THEY CAN'T TOUCH YOU.
