Complete Overtime Ban

Today we we told that royal mail are not going to pay us anymore overtime ( complete ban) and if we tried to claim any then we wouldnt be paid it. Is this something that everybody has been told or is it just in some offices?
I Thought that when the strikes were cancelled royal mail said no changes would be made untill after xmas. this has got to be as low as they can get, i already go way over my hours and the little overtime i was allowed to claim was pathetic . the office is in uproar especially with xmas here soon.
we have never in our office brought work back, always delivered it even gone over our hours but today the first time ever mail was returned undelivered and the same will happen again tomorrow ect. ( god help them when xmas pressure starts). im am sooooo p.s..d off with them.

Cut Off, take it back. Hopefully it will be a nationwide ban, then the s**t will hit the fan and they will have to employ more staff and reduce the walk sizes. People should'nt rely on O/T because we all know what RM are like and you'll only get it if your face fits.

I thought work was not allowed to be brought back. You have to judge how much you can take up to your time.

We were told the opposite today!

Through the strikes there has been no overtime, which is understandable. But we were told today that the ban is now lifted and we can book pressure overtime if it is needed.

not sure what offices you are from but our office has not been allowed to extend since july and still not allowed

It's all down to local managers protecting their budget related bonuses - if you let them, they will tell you anything. Personally I will work as hard as they want me to, because I know all my customers well and don't want to let them down but if RM won't pay then the Rhino don't play.
