Pegasus and phase 3 bonus `questions`

We had a bonus last year for phase 3, it was to carry on absorbing past summer. I can't even remember how much it was now, roughly a weeks wages I think
Haven't seen pegasus in our office yet either, can't wait

The 50/50 share out of money was stopped in April 2009. The only person(s) who will benefit if your DO/MC etc hit target are managers as they will get a bonus payout.

Future colleague share payouts are yet to be decided, but you can be sure they will not be at the levels previously experienced.

All other 'carrots' etc have ceased to exist and don't expect anything particularly juicy to come out of the current negotiations ... excepting the one's that will be shafting your a.............................!!!!

We've introduced phase 3 in our office and are "Absorbing" walks all the bloody time but there was never any bonus, just a thank you off the DOM at wtll for helping out and doing it in pishing down rain which is much better than cash in your pocket...........NOT.

Pegasus sorts out the duties, so how does your DOM already know 3 walks are going?

We have a bloke in our office that takes d2d for people who generally cant be a***d, gets proper pleasure in taking them on his day off or weekends. He usually takes the dutys that get lapsed.

onaflyer dom gets to see pegasus results ,your rep should also have seen them ,also the area h/s rep aswell as the local
h/s rep and staff before acceptance of duties.

Because they decide on what is going and then make Pegasus match that, you have to remember that the duties are still made out by someone and then fed into the Pegasus system to give the right results.

Not necessarily, a nearby office ran Pegasus and it turned out they needed a couple of walks put IN.

RM scrapped pegasus at that office.

Our office was revised without Pegasus, despite two attempts to get it right... Allegedly, the maps were out of date...

The reality, I suspect, is that it came out with the wrong answers - ie we need walks putting in!

At my place a few years ago before i went there,peggy gave us 5 duties,which of course was when it was scrapped.
We've had threats of 'we'll use peggy on you',well we cant wait! bring it on suckers!

Not in my office, Pegasus took 0 hours out.

The problem with Pegasus is that it is only as accurate as the information fed into it. The guy that did ours took allsorts of information off us about the walks.

I dont think any dom or cluster manager should be declaring whats happening next year.
Every statement of that sort is not line with a commitment to negotiation.
If RM's own managers don't believe these negotiations are real
why should we?

We had a Pegasus review in our office this year. The woman sent over to implement it, off the record told us, that she'd already been told we had 'x' amount of walks in the office and that she wasn't allowed to add any more - although it was perfectly clear that we needed at least two putting in what with re-development and the cock up from a previous revision that left one duty with a five hour duty (minimum) at over 1000 calls !

So in essence, Royal Mail paid some one to come to our office, massage the figures, play the shell game for over three months and then put maps of our walks on the wall with virtually no change and told us that WAS Pegasus ! People were losing twenty minutes here but then having twenty minutes or so put back on there...it was pure Pantomime and it wasn't even December.!

And the public wonder why Postman are so stressed at a job that should be so simple.

trying to georoute the rurals in our office at the mo, been told 'if you help us do it then we will only take 2 duties out' if not they will take 3 out. We told them to get stuffed ! Havent seen them since.
