we had our area rep in today. he stressed that the union hadn't sold us out. went through the differnt point's. we had so many question's but he couldn't answer any of them really. the one he seemed keen on was the 35hr week seem's r/m are keen on this one to. he's no idea how it would work but r/m would go for it so long as we give up something.

Hi Infidel

There is a briefing for area reps this friday in London and will probably be a briefing for Unit reps following that.
A meeting has been arranged with RM for next week at sector level to review the interim agreement.
The Interim agreement states that where changes were made in units by agreement then these should be jointly reviewed.
Where changes were forced in by RM with no agreement then local discussions should now take place to seek resolution.

My problem is that DOM's are telling me that regardless of this interim agreement they have been instructed to make between 8% and 10 % savings next year. Something doesn't quite add up here.

Are RM going to concede locally on the unagreed indoor workload tool/capacity plan? Are RM going to concede on unagreed throughputs of 23.75 iems per minute on indoor work? Are RM going to stop harrassment of members who are on sick leave?
Are RM going to fill full time vacant posts by making up part time staff? Are RM going to restore pay withheld under the improper application of the 30 minute flex?

I gave up believing in the tooth fairy many moons ago!

It is more likely that we will be on strike in December. In my humble opinion.

I was in today with another manager who seemed to be ignoring the interim agreement and was intent on ploughing on with savings for our division. The prick wants to take out 2 walks and hasnt gave us the details on how there was scope from within the division to remove these duties. I am saying 'do ya not think its better waiting until we get an agreement on pegasus like an agreed walkin speed ad call rate?' Its like talkin to a wooden plank but prob more sense in a wooden plank. Just on the walkin speed, the idiot was using 6.62 km per hour which translates into 4mph. Has this not already been tested walking at this speed and is impossible?

I also spoke DOM this morning concerning possibly making some p/t members up to f/t...he replied that RM just ain't gonna do that, they ain't interested in making anyone up...!! In fact you would be lucky to get a permanent p/t contract...they just want temporary rolling contracts...?? And(keep this under your hats...as I was told to)also RM would be coming for 13% savings in MC's and 8% in DO's....which DOM said roughly equated to 7/8 members leaving our (skeleton crew)office...!!! My humble opinion will be standing next to yours on the picket-line brother Tamsky....!!!! :dance
