No reversal of EA in our office...

Post by mailmonkey »

What is supposed to be happening regarding this agreement?

As I see it, we should unabsorb the walk we absorbed in 08, and we should be ceasing lapsing? We were told that they can ask us to do anything withing our duty time, as long as time allows it.

So no change whatsoever.

they are only negotiating phase 4, so absorbing is still in place at the moment and they can make you work to your time, but remember you only do 8 hours work and not a minute more

South West....

If these points are part of Phase4, what EA changes should we be seeing reversed? Hours pput back into office? I can't see this happening...

If not this, then what? We want to start putting some pressure on manager, but not sure yet what we might/might not be able to achieve..

Things like managers allocating duties instead of resigns, offices that had 9 day fortnights 4 day weeks etc being put back to 5 day weeks, earnings being removed etc.You should look to carry out paragraph 2.3 of the agreement, review your office where change has been made and engage in genuine negotiations to reach a local agreement.

Our problem is the area rep,he's allowed management locally to plough ahead with unagreed changes,
and recomends things that he thinks are acceptable, rather than what the agreement actually says.
you can't get any sort of an answer from him, except a shrug of the shoulders and "well if you've got time"
So despite the fact we'll have a new national agreement, there's little chance of it being played out locally,
To review change means this area rep has to admit he shouldn't of allowed all these practices to happen
in the first place. :arrrghhh
