Strikes after Christmas?

Personally I think nothing is gonna change in our office since it is a small rural office were only a few striked. Not much union strength and an "every man for himself attitude". Im thinking we could be out on strike after Christmas, whether it makes any difference, who knows. But if things dont change, I for one will be certainly ready to strike. Im thinking that Im gonna get as much overtime in as poss, enjoy Christmas, and then I'll be prepared to lose many days pay if need be. Im so fed up with the job now, constantly being watched, treated like a liar when booking overtime, rounds that obviously cant be done in their times and the "as long as Im ok f**k everyone else" attitude And before some gob shite says it, yes I am always looking for other jobs.
Does anyone else think we'll be out after Christmas or is that it now, roll over and let RM take me any way they want?

no chance of us striking after xmas. we've all backed this strike for month's now and have lost hundred's of pounds. some of us have lost than a thousand pound's. we all thought that once the natonal strike kicked in the union would use the yes vote to get us a deal we could live with. all they've done is called of the srtike and agred to more talk's. the feeling in our place is they're more worried about lossing all the money they take from us then doing their job. we've all been down this road before with this union. if they ask for more strikes then i would guess a lot of posties will just carry on working.

Dont get me wrong im as frustrated as the next postie with xmas approaching we had R/M by the balls and it was at this time we needed to squeeze them a little bit harder hopefully we have not lost a golden opportunity here,

Overtime, whats that, we have to absorb in our office, ive done every strike for 20 years but thats it for me now, the union are incapable of finishing off the job, talking has got nowhere thats why we went on strike, now they want more talks, unbelievable, after xmas rm are goimg to go to town on us big time so we may as well get used to the idea.

all i know is how i feel and the feeling in our office. we had a foot on their neck and then we stepped off. we as an office have backed the union 100%. and all we get is. call off the strike and we'll keep on talking. nobody in our office has much faith in this union now. it really is such a pity they didn'y carry on untill a good deal was reached. once they have lost the support from office's like our's they're finished. and they are very close to lossing that support right now.

well the next 3 weeks would barely hurt royal mail anyways so might as well use this time to see their real stance.

flaminmoses is right, if we want to choose a good time without losing any more money, what better time than a couple of weeks before xmas and hit them hard. They have a period of a few weeks to prove they are willing to negotiate, if not....
