Don't unsubscribe

Post by london sub »

I know myself and others are not happy with what the union have done...but i think this is the best thing for NOW. I think the cwu made a decisive decision whether or not to continue with these strikes or not. I personally don't think RM are willing to agree with the union leaving it stalemate for now, and that my friends is why the strikes have been called off.

I will hold onto my subs for now, because if we all drop out of the union, there will be no union, and royal mail will have more power to divide and conquer.

I, as a rep am literally seething at this moment in time not only with what has maybe been agreed at National Level but the fact that they've missed a golden opportunity in giving away Christmas as a bargaining tool.
I'll calm down I hope as I enjoy being a rep but at this moment in time I feel like packing the whole damned thing up!

Couldn't agree more mate, there must be people on this site who've worked in non union workplaces with horror stories to tell. I was a steward while working for Britain's largest grocers where the union was in partnership with the company, believe me it was a nightmare trying to get anything constructive done for your members short of resorting to tribunal. Knock your union if you think something's wrong by all means, let your reps know, but don't even consider leaving the only organisation that's there to serve your interests in the workplace.

i think we should all wait and see the agreement that has been reached and embargoad until tomorrow.
lets see what it says and then comment as i am sure that we have not been sold down the river but will pass judgement when i see the agreement in black and white

the union are now only good for accident at work as for protection from RM tell me what they will do for you,Monthly Pay,D2D as part of your job (no extra for it), more absorbing and flexing as standard is all heading our way, so yes stay with the union it could be worse................... NOT

Dum struck enough not even to be angry yet shell shocked.

What am i supposed to say to the lads tomorrow.

Exceptional communications from the CWU reps should no what has and has not been agreed to call off the strikes so we may relay this back to our members. This way we may keep the support going instead ive got to tell them i no nothink ,then the slagging off of the union and the lose of support will start.

The CWU had R/M by the balls surely it has to be a good out come for us.

They caved in once again an agreement to talk is no agreement once Christmas is over it is talks without substance all ether in the air an apparent lack of detail for their is none smoke and mirrors and more strings than the royal philharmonic orchestra!.

I think for now after reflecting for a couple of minutes we all need to keep the FAITH in the cwu .

Until tomorrow at least.
