Heard a rumour that we can't strike after the 1st dec for 3 weeks up to christmas. is this true?

Is their a law which states this or is it a agreement between the union and cwu. If so, i'm sure it can be broken like every agreement rm have made to the union.

I can see the Christmas Bonus being abated if industrial action takes place in xmas pressure weeks.

This was the letter that they issued for the Christmas 2008 bonus - 2009 should be the same. It also kills the rumour about not striking before Christmas because they would not include the Official Action in the list of abatements if we could not strike.

You can imagine it... this year RM will be offering £500 as a Christmas supplement.
