Why Shouldn't I work on strike days?

I assume that should we somehow manage to get deliveries at 3.30 left alone, any over that reverted back to 3.30, all Executive Action stopped, a 200 quid one off payment and a 2.5% payrise you wont want any of it then??

You yourself can have line managers giving you more and more streets to deliver for anything up to 5 hours until late in the afternoon, and you can give any one off payments or payrises to charity.

Or you could save that money and buy yourself a pair.

we bought changes into our office and still get done by 1, its a case of getting on with it and working harder, and surely its takes a bigger pair to work.........

I've read your other post on the strikebreakers thread Bakersdozen, and it doesn't matter what anyone on here says, you have already made your mind up. I would suggest that if you are in the union, you should leave immediately,if you are not, then go to work and let your colleagues around the country fight for your rights and conditions of employment. Oh and if you don't like them, you could always leave and get another job.

Nobody wants to strike but when you see the plans RM have i don't think many people have a option.
Part-time hours, 60,000 job losses. 60/40 Part time to full time. Less money put into the already duff pension sheme. Longer walks, will you get paid overtime, the answer NO. Bullying and Harassment will increase.......the list goes on and on and on.
Stick by your collegues don't stick the knife in their back.

duty ends at 2:45 working a cdv and after peg but still able to get round in good time as long as you work with people who want to work.

no mate if you start at 5 and finish at 1 youve done your eight hours, its a not a case of working harder as you can only do what can be done in that time end of story.........if you had scope to take on more then you must have been finishing earlier and not working full eight hours

I would love to be in on discussions taking place in respect of your DO. RM are now having DIM DOMS working on how to implement 2010/2011 budget cuts (5-10% on average). Your office seems ripe to cull hours beyond the percentage called for if you finish at 1pm regularly ... look forward to cuts in duties as well as lots of absorbing of other duties come April next year. See how much RM reward you by stabbing you in the back as much as you are stabbing the back of striking colleagues in defence of jobs, terms and conditions, etc, etc.
