we were told at a recent one that this strike is all down to london not wanting to do what we in the north east are doing
eg
lapsing duties etc
and we were also tols that postmen/women in london still do 2 deliveries
true or not?
but still 100% in favour of strike

Oh wise one you started off so well, if you think we have it so easy down here, why have we been on strike for months? and 2 deliveries finished years ago for us as well. So far during the strikes we've been inundated with managers from all around the country just delivering SD items and as far as I know they haven't done any walks so how the hell do they know how long they take,

Ok,as a London postie i suppose the easiest answer to this is....what ever they tell you is a LIE.
If anything,cause we are more expensive down here in the town with streets of gold,we are getting hit HARDER!

The union should be flying down all area reps to see if the managers are true, London walks are 2 hours long. This way we know one way or another if its true what management saying about London.
The London issue would be resolved and myth closed.

What does amaze me is the amount of people who even think what RM say about London deliveries.

After all did we all believe:

1. That we are 25% over paid.
2. That we are 40% under worked.
3. That we would get no pay rise in 2007.
4. That all they expect is you to work all hours paid for.
5. That overtime is voluntary.
6. That they listen to "our people".
7. That B&H is not embedded.

It's OK for you, I've heard that London posties have their own chauffeur driven limousine at their disposal and only go out on the street for 30 seconds (and less of the weather isin't quite right) and will always have a helper with them, they are also on £250,000 per week and they still get paid even if they're on strike..........................................I must go and take my tablets

I aint had a team Talk in 8 months, kept asking to many awkward questions that the managers couldn't or wouldn't answer.
The only way Royal Mail will defeat us is if they DIVIDE US.
