Discrimination?

Post by silverback »

While on the picket line, the DOM went out and bought breakfast butties for the 7 staff members who had gone into work. I asked who had paid for them and he replied it had come out of petty cash. He also said he would buy any member on the picket line one if they went into work. My question is this

Is he discriminating against all the people on strike? He is certainly treating them differently based on prejudice. I thought that anyone taking legal industrial action should not be dissadvantaged. Now if he were to buy everyones breakfast when not on industrial action then that would be ok.

I know this seems trivial but it is the principle and its really wound me up.

What was in the buttie? Sausage, chips and beans?

He could shove them up his ass for all I care, he did this for a reaction, do not give him one.
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

unfortunately it is not descrimination, if he had waited till the next day when everyone was back at work and then said right lads you all worked yesterday, breakfast is on me, that could be considered descrimination as it sounds like, he has bought everyone who turned up to work food so has not descriminated against anyone, you wernt working so havent been descriminated against

as for where the funds came from that could be a different kettle of fish all together, if it was his own cash then he is ok, if it was from petty cash he could be on dodgy ground

Thanks for that. Petty Cash is being used to purchase the food and I have been informed it is common practice.
