It is your day off, you are not paid so you can spend it how you like! Got sod all to do with him how you spend it unless of course he wants to pay you!!!??? :whistle

Yes realised that but you don't get paid we work a 5 day week NOT 6 and because we have to deliver 6 days we have to have day off during that 6 days BUT as I said it is NOT paid, (if you worked it you would get docket, so what is he gonna stop the docket????) Get rep involved!!

How many hours have you worked this week - I am guessing all your contracted hours. Therefore if he docks X hours from your wages he is breaking the law. He can only deduct pay if it was your normal working day and therefore you did not complete your contracted hours for the week.

i was on the picket line on my day off last friday, it is scare tactics he's using, it is unlawful to dock your wages for a non-working day, on your day off you can go where you want, talk to whom you want & do what you want, if your docked take your rep into the office with you & ask your dom "for which WORKING day did you dock my wages?, the key here is working day, hope that helps mate.

i think you misunderstood you union rep.
he probably means he intends to picket on his work days to ensure no confusion as to his " official status".
I'm a postman-and i know where you live.....

Or maybe he just meant as it was his day off he had other arrangements that prevented him from showing up!!

I have also been told i will have my pay docked for attending a picket on my day off, I look forward to seeing them in court if i do!!

it was my day off last saturday, i told them i wasnt on strike, i just went to meet up with some mates on my day off, and stand in the middle of an industrial estate
