Strikebreakers
This is my first set of strikes since being employed by Rm. Isn't it funny how it takes a strike to realise that some "collegues" you work beside and respected as much as any other have shown their true colours and showed a complete lack of conscience and backbone. I feel extremely let down at their utter cocky attitude to breaking the picket line. I would cover mistakes for any other collegue but not for these spineless b**tards in the future. An elephant never forgets. :cfo

One young guy in my work was shouting his head off about how it was 'fun' coming in while we we're all outside.
He was taken to the side by one of his collegues and it was pointed out to him to keep it a bit quiet as some of the staff were a bit angry and being held back from getting him! Fair play he did apoligise and admited he did'nt really understand what it was all about and as he's only started he was worried at losing his job.Feelings are a bit high at the moment with 60% of the office on strike,it just takes one wrong word.I've seen a few heated arguments!
I think as we've had cuts and now people know there's more soon a lot are really worried.

Not had the 'dignity and respect' training, then ?
In life, you are always likely to meet people who have a different point of view.
I might not agree with the views of Nick Griffin, but I respect his right to express his opinion, subject to his staying within the laws of the land.
Similarly, I don't agree with strike-breaking, but if these people leave the union, they have every right to choose to go to work. The CWU members who phone in sick ahead of the strike and get paid for the strike day without physically crossing the picket line are the truly spineless people, in my view
One such person in my office had a Lazarus-like recovery last Friday night, phoned up to resume on Saturday, then worked his day off on Monday Not only did that assist RM in clearing the backlog, it undermined what his honest colleagues had gone out on strike for 72 hours earlier
