I can beat that though - one of our strike breakers is a floater and comes in at 5am so he can grab any docket, even when he's on a part time duty (starting at 9am)
Can anybody beat coming in 4hrs early?

Re: do posties in your office go in before there start time
My start time is 9, but I get a lift to work and im there about 8, if I didn't get the lift I would still be leaving at the same time, if my frame is up I get it tied down and leave to deliver before nine, thus getting me finished about 12-30 my finishing time is 2.
Should I still wait untill 9 to start then not get out the office untill 10?

Some have been coming in early for years but most are seeing sense now. Earliest comes in about an hour before his start.

So, taking 40 minutes for your meal relief that takes you to 1310? So you won't mind when they come looking for an extra 50 minutes work out of you?
You can't really complain if they ask you to do lapsing, finishing that early. Trouble is they come looking for it out of the guys who aren't finishing 50 minutes early as well. Some of us are our own worst enemy.

I find that in my office its mainly the old boys who still come in early. Interestingly, the ones who used to come in early that have now had their walks increased now come in bang on time, funny that

Handful in our office are in a good hour or so before start time. Same ones who absorb other walks, leaving two walksorting holes full for their own walks. Makes me laugh. The DOM is there shouting at everyone else to wait for the miss-sorts, yet loads of items fail on those jobs each day. Talk about double standards! Wilful delay doesn't seem to apply if you absorb.
