safe drop of hct

Hey, just wondering, my walk is miles from do and as i use a hct the dim wants it to stay somewhere near my starting point in somebodys garden and has one in mind and i talked to the customer and she is fine with it as they have big garden etc etc and her son in law is a postie in another city so glad to help out.

Anyhow asked dim if they get some sort of payment for it and he said he has never heard of it but i am sure i have heard of this but i have nothing on paper to prove him wrong anybody got anything that can help?

Hi

It use to be that if a bag is dropped in a safe place in someone's hiome3 or garden there is a payment of about £50 per year,

But as you are using HCT not sure what the set up is I would still say the same as you are using there premises as appose to using the HCT locked to a telegraph pole like mine is

My family have a bags left in the garage. They get paid £25 a year for it. Your dom should be able to get a form for the customer to fill out. It states though that there could be a number of bags left there, they have to be safe and access allowed all times.
The problem is for some reason trying to get the form of your dom always seems to be a problem. They never seem to find one os conveniently forget as one has to be filled out every year to receive payment. Funny really its like the RM want them to use their property for free

The best drop for a HCT is off beachy head?, Jokeing aside if anyone takes royalmail property on their property they should be paid for it if not have they stole it questions can be asked and will be if it goes missing!.

So how therefore do you actually determine the physical weight of the HCT trolley when loaded with mail?

Bag it all up and weigh it before it gets deliverd if any more than the maximum the driver should replenish the HCT!.

Wouldn't it therefore make more sense for carsnooty to load and weigh the HCT at work (without exceeding the maximum) and get the DOM to have it transported to his first delivery point?

HCT is a 2 man lift empty or a specialised vehicle if fully laiden. With regard to securing a payment this can be done as we've just done it with the help of the DOM that the HCT was dropped off at the customers property - they get £25 a year for having this dirty great thing in their garden but each to their own, and, at the end of the shift it gets dropped back off empty at the house waiting for the following day.

Na i have a sweet number as i live closer to my round so i have it so i can pouch off and go home so saves on traveling time for me. cheers for the help guys

Thing is by the sound of his name he uses his car too get to work (nothing wrong with that) but after he has done his job/round he cannot get back to the office with his HCT after all will royalmail convey you back too the office in a speedy and efficent fashion?.
