Media for god sake, Shut up you are confusing the public!

Post by kwf166 »

Message to the media, STOP CONFUSING THE PUBLIC with your misleading headlines, if you did your job properly in the first place, the public would know who is on strike and who isn't, I lost count today, the amount of people coming up to me, and saying hey postie, thought you are on strike  you can't blame them, as the media just continue to print confusing headlines and badly misled information, it no wonder they are confused :confused

And most of them haven't got a clue what it is all about, I do try my best to explain to some of them, but I really haven't got the time, the last two days have been horrendous, would love to see Adam Crozier do our job for the day

Got asked about 20 odd times and was given some nasty stares. People who have approached me have asked what sort of pay rise we were hoping for :mad

I've been telling them it's because management haven't been giving us enough babies to eat. Then when they look gobsmacked i tell them thats about as close to the truth as the papers are.

Had an old lady ask today how are we getting on with the strike. She said she hopes we get what we want as she thinks the world of us. Isn't that nice. :Very Happy

the 'media' are notoriously unreliable for reporting 'facts' tis well known ;liar but unfortunately theres a lot of the 'educated' public who believe everything the Daily Mail etc prints! :cuppa Mr Higson is taking advantage of this with the 'Christmas post' message I believe he is spewing out :speak to the hand

Government has relationships with tv , radio and newspapers , Gvt own RM so messages from the media are Gvt influenced , apart from CH4 all other sources are happy to follow Gvt/RM press releases. Confusion is a deleberate strategy.

Its ridiculous some of the stuff i read in the papers.
But tbh i don't really care if the public back us or not.People just like to moan and they don't really care if we're being shafted or not.
