Royal Mail managers use taxis to beat postal strike
Royal Mail bosses today attempted to beat the three-day national strike by delivering post in black cabs.
Managers were forced to leave their offices to keep the mail moving as thousands of postal workers walked out from 4am, bringing the system to a virtual standstill.
The men in suits were seen carrying bags filled with mail from offices in central London, with one even hiring a taxi to ensure customers got their post.

Doesn't look like he paid much attention on his "manual handling" training which i'm sure he'll have had
Also that sack looks like it might be a tad overweight.
Still nice publicity stunt.

Re: Royal Mail managers use taxis to beat postal strike
looks like a quick spin in the cab to take one bag of mail to a firm ? - delivery duty - my arsegoonerman wrote:From the photos ive seen this looks like the callers office at mount pleasent .Dont recognise any of the faces but could be managers from outside d/os
it does look overweight that bag 16 - 18 kg at least as it's so bottom heavy ? - Senior Managers deliver mail
Trying to throw a bag in like that with one hand is the quickest way of doing your back in - it makes me laugh as I know one guy that did his back in and ended up on Incapacity Benefit , but beforehand RM got their managers to swear blind that he was blameworthy due to incorrect handling
Still if that prat wants to end up stinking of Deep Heat or Ralgex instead of After shave & end up in a Physio's waiting room - that's his lookout

Re: Royal Mail managers use taxis to beat postal strike
we had an audit the other week, and to make it look like the ofice was running smooth and no one was left at the office, the manager booked a taxi for a fellow postman to get to his walk, i was pissing myself.
