It would be nice to know what progress has been made in the talks and whether the sticking points are London issues. I'm not from a London office but have got a mate who is and he says that they don't do walk absorbtion and the like and if it was ever attempted to be brought in they would carry on striking. I know that absorbtion and other aspects of phase 3 have already been implemented into many offices,including mine, and though obviously not popular we have reluctantly got on with it so I think we have the right to know whether London is holding the rest of us to ransom

The Union thread and News items generally give an overall impression of the situation as it stands.

As to the London issue well that is a red herring, over 500 Units/Areas/Branches and offices had requested a local ballot based on local issues before the National Ballot and London was only 1 of them. This dispute did start in 1 office in London who had EA imposed and they balloted locally AFAIU, then various offices in the South West, Bristol and Scotland all again had local issues and thats when the ground swell of ballots started. SO is it a London thing, NO, far from it, in fact although unlikely, it is possible because of he nature of the mix of local/national live ballots, we might stop action nationally, but local areas could still carry on IA. But I hope and pray that does not happen.
