Not all part timers. I get 2 hours to prep my walk and never get hassled to do overtime. Our office has a list of people who want to do docket and the manager goes to them first.
I can honestly say i have never felt intimidated or pressured to do anything.
thought you would have noticed by now every office is not the same in my office the part time workers get treated the same , are part of union and we had 100% strike action
i have said before you need to stand up for yourself and also you have or should have a union rep , and i know for fact alot of pt workers f**k the job up for themselves !
im a full timer and i have no problem with part timers, its not your fault royal mail only give you a part time contract and i appreciate your just trying to make a living like the rest of us.

This could be a very destructive post.
I have never had issues with part timers but i do have issues with full time posts being made part time
Take your time to see how the office works. Most fulltimers have good reasons for their attitudes/methods and pretty much all have to do with managers approach to industrial relations. Don't let them fool you
It is true in my office, full timers tend to think they are superior to part timers, gets on my wick some times..
Like the other day, they got together and tried saying they should have first choice on picking A/L, never heard so much rubbish..

Some of us have been part time and waiting, longer than a lot of full time staff, so it is not what you do it is where you are
well ive worked for 9 months in my depot and only a handfull of people make conversation. the majority of full timers look at me like im a summit they trod in!! and not a day goes by without one of them making a comment about part timers. i get 6 hours to do what they get 8 hours to do ! and most of them go home on their round anyway. and they want my support for the strike!!!! i get great pleasure going past them on the picket line. well ive got that off my chest
