ReHab plans.

Post by General Mannerheim »

Anybody know how long you can be on a rehab plan for as my lying DIMwit said it`s only 4 weeks oh and he thinks he can bypass the DDA as well.
I can feel a tribunal coming on. :dance
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

 An atos Physio should come out and assess you on the job. She/He then sends a written report to your Manager about your rehab. you are entitled to a copy of this, so demand it from either Management or Atos. good luck, and copy your plan to the letter. You should have a follow up assessment after the original one, where you are either cleared for full time duties, or given a new plan.

I'm back soon after AOD, months ago. Atos told me 2 hrs per day, for 4 weeks, then re-assess me.
I've not had this confirmed by the Office - surprise, surprise - so will pop a letter in confirming this arrangement with me/Atos.
Then I'll ring them asap to ensure the arrangement is adhered to before returning.

Just my luck to go back when the crap is flying!

Just make sure they know all the info you do, or the expression Wool/Eyes springs to mind...

Just been onto ACAS and the Equality and Human Rights Commission about Royal Fail`s lack of carrying out a reasonable adjustment under the DDA...both said that I`m being shafted and should take them to a tribunal IF the grievance I banged in isn`t upheld!! :Applause :Applause :dance

Oh and the union have been feckin crap, passing the buck from Local,Area and National, had to do most of the chasing Atos reports and making them comply with data protection issues myself.

Had to laff at the Acas guy when I told him that the Dimwit said I was only entitled to 4 weeks `rehab` this time around,he said it`s like expecting a paraplegic to be running the marathon in 4 weeks.

Monty Python "Parrot Sketch", John Cleese line to petshop owner, "Your making it up as you go along!"
Yeah, this is exactly what it seems like. I've know others who have had more than 4 week re-hab/light duties too.

I was involved in a RTA while performing Delivery duties, and was off work for about 10 weeks
upon returning to work it was put in place that i would only do part walk IE a 3rd for two weeks and then increase to 2/3 walk after that, but as I was still having problems I asked for the increase to be only half , though RM moaned I said either that or I will go off sick again, so they backed down and I done this for another 4 weeks after and finally two weeks ago started to perform full duty , though at the moment I am still in pain but going back to the doctors friday
