Donald Brydon, 60, is Chairman of Smiths Group plc and The London Metal Exchange and is Senior Independent Director of Scottish Power plc. Following 20 years with Barclays Group, during which time he was Chairman and Chief Executive of BZW Investment Management, he joined AXA Group in 1997 and is currently Chairman of AXA Investment Managers SA.

This guy is a "profesional chairman" so we're not likely to see much of him.A very busy man by the looks of it.

It wasn't unusual for him to make nearly 200 flights a year as chairman of Axa.
I don't think somehow, he will be talking to many postmen/postwomen.
Royal Mail needs a Richard Branson type character.
He made a point of wandering around his business talking to staff, tasting the food the airline was serving etc.
